Which Flowers Can Typically Be Founded Growing in NY Parks?
I’m writing a short story, and I’m describing a flower in a particular paragraph, but I want to be realistic. Which flowers typically can be found growing in NY parks, and have these been a fairly constant feature over the last 100 years or so? (That is, it’s not just a recent gimmick.)

Well, it certainly will depend on what time of year your story takes place. (Winter, Summer, Spring or Fall????) I’m going out on a limb here as I have never walked a darned park in the State of NY. Therefore, I am of no knowledge of what kind of flowers the Parks & Recreation folks cultivate around & in the park areas. However, I am willing to bet on wild daisies, black-eyed Susan’s or maybe some sort of seasonal (shady area or a fully sun-lighted area of your story??) wild flower growing in the wild around these parks. (?!) Go on-line, Google "wild flowers" in your NY. area (seasonal son, remember seasonal!) and do a ‘lil research. Good luck! You gotta love a writer who wants to keep it real!
