What Kind of Landscaping Is Good Around a Pool?
The pool is L shaped and had 2.5 feet of concrete totally around and then about 3 or 4 feet of dirt and then theres a fence. Whats a low maintenance idea for landscaping around the pool?
I had rocks there before. Im looking for something different.

A Japanese style landscape with alpine rocks, gravel, glazed pot water feature, a pergola at the boundary fence and some Japanese maples in glazed pots.
the honest answer is that it depends on what you like the look of and how much money you want to spend and time you want to spend maintaining it. For loads of color – use annuals and containers (pool chlorine in normal concentrations doesn’t bother most plants) but for ease of maintenance use evergreens and mulch. You can even grow a perennial garden there that would emphasize mid-summer blooms so when you’re using the pool – the flowers are in bloom.
So the real answer is that there are a ton of options -you can do darn near anything. The questions: what do you want it to look like – color, ease of care, money etc. are really important.
