get whatever you can used, and you need a backup, people do not care if your lawn mower is not working, you need a riding lawn mower and you need a push mower for harder to get places and you need a weedeater
my man had a biz for fifteen years in the country club estates and today he only does his lawns so i know when his snapper is down so is he..haha..but he’s always also had and used was the front throw reel..it depends on the lawn your caring for.. he used the reel on the low lawns, manicured lawns like the old dicondra and ornamental lawns. but he never went with out the snapper. We left state he sold the biz and equipment, when we returned and he needed them again he watched the weekly (comes in the mail) penny saver and the daily newspaper looking for and going to estate sales till he found exactly what he wanted.. estate sales are mostly that someone has died and their estate is to be turned into cash money as quick as they can which means things are priced to sell fast and first come first will buy..watch for them estate sales..they usually list the items for sale.
For a landscaping business, my recommended lawn mower to you would be the Black & Decker MM875. It’s the perfect mower for your needs, as it’s electric and virtually maintenance free. I have a friend in the landscaping business and he uses the MM875 everyday for his clients. Give it a shot, I’m sure you won’t regret it.
You’re going to want something with a good warranty for that amount of usage. Take a close look at Gravely. Made in the US specifically for heavy commercial use. The heavy gauge steel decks aren’t going to bend if you hit something. The dealers are usually pretty good about getting you into the right equipment for what you need. I’d hit up a few and try out various models for ease of use. If you are going to be using them all day you want to be comfortable.
I work on a lot of different brands of lawn mowers at the shop where I work. The best mowers in my opinion are ex-mark and scag. We rarely ever do anything to the ex-marks other than periodic servicing.
The scags are real good too, but the warranty isn’t quite as good. Helpful hint BUY NOTHING from sears, wall mart, home depot, lowes, exc. These mowers are usually junk. Also do not buy snapper or toro mowers. Toro makes larger commercial mowers that are ok but most of there products are junk also.
Try echo with the leaf blower. They make some pretty good back pack style blowers.
