What Are Good Landscaping Plants or Shrubs?
I am wanting to do some landscaping in our front yard. I am wanting to plant something in the front of a bedroom window. We live in Dallas so I think it is Zone 8. What are some plants, shrubs that would look good in front of a bedroom window? Something that takes little maintenance but will grow good in part sun/part shade but also will make the front of the house look better.

I love azaleas! They come in many different varieties and thrive in your zone, also in shade and sun conditions. They are evergreen perennials, meaning they will stay green through the winter and come back to bloom every year. There is a variety called Encore that bloom twice a year (spring and fall) these cost considerably more but to me they are worth the price.
nandina’s are not picky easy to grow and easy to prune u just cut the canes down at differnt lengths
May is a good time to plant new shrubs. Shrubs, along with trees can increase the value of your property and make it more attractive. Their beauty begins with spring and summer blooms followed by lush foliage and autumn color. The variety of forms and textures add interest to the landscape.
Shrubs may be used to screen views, soften hard edges, enclose spaces and visually connect the home to the ground. Many shrubs attract wildlife with berries and shelter. There are shrubs for both sun and shade.
