My Strawberry Plants Are Growing Hot PINK Flowers?
ummm arent the flowers meant to be white??
i have been reading around, trying to see if i am meant to pluck the flowers off; but all the articles i have read talk about a white flower…. my plants have hot pink flowers???? why is this?

There are several varieties marketed at present for their pink flowers, one variety so dark it’s almost red. they still produce very nice fruit – sweet and juicy, so don’t stress. Don’t pluck off any flowers, as they are the future fruits.
Yes, fragarias(the kind of plant you have) have pink flowers. Don’t take off the flowers.they will change into fruit.
There are a few ornamental strawberries that are grown for the beautiful flowers and not the fruit. They do fruit but it’s nothing to right home about. Perhaps you got an ornamental one?

It’s just the variety you got. I was at my local nursery yesterday and they had strawberry plants with pink flowers.
