How Many People Plan to Grow Their Own Vegetables This Growing Season?
A small garden it great and you would be amazed at the amount of produce you receive. Also you know how it’s grown and what’s being put on it…It’s great fun for the children. Give it a try as children love to watch things grow and realize they helped it to happen. Good family time.

I will but this year am cutting back it is time consuming and watering is a problem..We have had drought conditions for 3 years get tons of rain then none.Saving rainwater was told I can no longer do this if it is an eyesore to neighbors, you don’t want to know how I replied to that! lol.So I am only doing tomatoes, peppers, some herbs, cucumbers, plus all the flowers.Yes,I agree children need to learn how to do things and gardending is one of the best and fun experiences.Hopefully we will raise a whole new generation of gardeners!!Even in the city. Thanks to your great question!
We’re going to. I’ve had gardens before but we’ve lived in an apartment until very recently, so I’m looking forward to it, and my son is just old enough to help me and see the whole process, which will be cool. I’ve been planning all winter, it helps with the whole mid-winter, foot of snow on the ground thing.
Every year, I grow about an acre garden. I do it for the fun of it and give away most of the veggies to senior center.
